View in browser NEW & NOTEWORTHY KFF Examines New Efforts to Promote Sharing of Electronic Medical Records Last month, the Trump administration announced a new effort aimed at promoting the digital sharing of health information between patients, providers and payers, and at increasing patients' access to digital health tools, including artificial intelligence (AI) applications.   A new KFF brief examines the "Make Health Tech Great Again" initiative in the context of past efforts to promote such information sharing across health IT platforms. The brief lays out the details of the new effort, how it fits into past efforts, and highlights some of the challenges related to privacy and the security of patients' health information.
